I’m very happy to be updating my website from the beautiful and historic Hermitage Artists Retreat on Manasota Key, FL. I was named a Hermitage Fellow last year and was awarded four weeks to take as I wished over 2022 and 2023. After spending the winter in Michigan, I thought two weeks on the beach would be perfect, and it is!
I’ve been able to work on multiple projects here, including a short play for the “7th Inning Stretch” Benefit at Hoboken’s Mile Square Theater. I’ve also been able to take some slow walks on the beach and look at the stars at night. In these moments, I have felt my mind relax and expand, and while I have not been struck with immediate inspiration, I think that some seeds for new work have been planted. Offering artists a quiet place to work and think has an immeasurable value, and I am so grateful for this opportunity.
